Vampire Diaries And 7 Other Shows Stream To Netflix
Netflix just secured additional streaming content for its customers. Last week, it was AMC's The Walking Dead and today we learn that CBS and Warner Brothers also joined the club by licensing 8 shows to Netflix. The deal will allow Netflix customers to watch Ringer, Hart of Dixie, The Secret Circle, The Vampire Diaries, Gossip Girl, 90210, Supernatural, Nikita and One Tree Hill for a period of 4 years after broadcast.
Starting October 15, customers can watch previous seasons of The Vampire Diaries, Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill and Nikita. Previous seasons of Supernatural and 90210 will be available January 2012.
Once again, I applaud Netflix for securing more streaming entertainment to its customers. Additionally, I give credit to the forward thinking content providers for allowing these shows to meet new consumers.
Looking over the list of shows, I am most excited about The Vampire Diaries. However, I could be persuaded to watch some of the other shows like The Secret Circle or Supernatural, which I failed to watch when it ran live. Who knows, maybe if I get caught up with the stories, I may catch a few episodes when the newer seasons start.
What do you think? Is Netflix turning things around in your eyes? Has it done enough to win you back? Let me know your thoughts in the comment section below.
