What Kind of Blogger Are You: Tortoise or Hare?

My friend Tim Arthur and I just finished a discussion concerning the amount of activity I display online per day. I believe his exact words were, "You're persistence is inspiring and exhausts me at the same time."

On a related note, a blog article entitled, "The Tortoise and the Hare: a Blogger’s Tale" fell into my Google Reader this morning. In short, the author described a conversation he had with a fellow blogger where he described the hare as an experienced and wise professional online writer and the tortoise as the newbie.

The author continued to explain that a tortoise can become a hare once they perfect the basics. That's cool, I thought. However, I believe the expert is more like a tortoise and the beginner like the hare.

The relationship between my conversation with Tim and this blog article is that I feel like the hare who sprints from one thing to another. Yes, a hare may get to his next destination quickly, but he needs time to rest and catch his breath. A tortoise, which I hope to be like someday, is slow and steady. A tortoise is consistent. He slowly puts one foot in front of the other.

In summary, I believe a blogger who maintains a consistent output of blogs offers the audience a better experience than a blogger with an inconsistent schedule. What do you think? What kind of blogger are you?
