Logging into Facebook today, I noticed this new addition to my home screen. As you can see, Facebook asked if I voted. With an affirmative response, I get to post an update to my wall and see which of my other friends have followed suit.
When asked why we are seeing this new feature, Facebook's Help Center provided this response:
We show the election day message to all users who are accessing Facebook from a country that is currently in an election period.So, do you think this feature will increase the number of voters in today's election? Let's talk about it in the comment section below.
