On July 1, 2010, Blogger in Draft announced the near-real-time statistics feature for its blogs. As of today, users can click on the "Stats" tab within Blogger and find out which posts are getting traffic, where visitors are coming from, keywords used, popular web browsers, and pageviews by country. For those familiar with Google Analytics, "Stats" provides scaled down information on how well blog posts are performing in the real world.
The part I like most about this update is the fact that it is practically in real-time. This means I can write a blog and share it through my social media outlets. As soon as people begin reading it, I can follow my visitors for additional insight on their behavior.
This welcomed upgrade means I no longer have to rely on other solutions to understand what's happening on my site right now.
If you have an account on Blogger, I encourage you to give it a try and let me know what you think about it. Are there any missing features?
If you like what you've read, take this opportunity to subscribe to my RSS Feed and Newsletter. However, don't forget to connect with me on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Buzz, or Friendfeed.
